Eddie Howe has admitted assistant Jason Tindall has “an eye for the camera” after a viral Twitter account said he “desperately wants to be the center of attention.”
The 45-year-old, who also worked with Howe at Bournemouth, has been criticized on social media lately.
In January, an unknown football fan called their Twitter profile “Jason Tindall desperate to be the center of attention” and started posting memes.
Nicknamed ‘Mad Dog’ for his sideline, Tindall has since gone viral for his ‘attention-seeking’ antics.
Speaking CBS Sports of his “eye for the camera,” Howe said, “That’s something we’ve never really talked about.”

“We’re both very active on the sidelines and I’ve encouraged Jason to be that way.
“We were really a partnership when we started in management – we try to do everything we can to help the players.
‘We’re up front there and in the game he’s slowly coming over (to the fourth official) because he’s on my left!
“But he’s a great guy and he’s been brilliant for me this year.”
Tindall made nearly 200 appearances for Bournemouth before retiring in 2011.
The Twitter page has posted images of Tindall urging to shake hands with opposition leaders ahead of Howe.
He also appears to be the first person to greet players after they are substituted and is often seen in interviews with Howe.
Newcastle tweeted a picture of Tindall on the sidelines of St James’ Park next to a goat emoji.
The Magpies lost 2-0 to Arsenal last week but have won eight of their last 10 league games to stay on track for Champions League football next season.
