The explosion occurred around 11:30 am local time in the Porta Romana neighborhood, igniting dozens of vehicles parked nearby, according to a statement issued by the fire services. Two apartments and a pharmacy were also damaged.
The fire was brought under control at exactly 1:00 p.m., according to an AFP correspondent at the scene
