NNA – Caretaker Minister of National Defense,nbsp;Maurice Selim, met atnbsp;his office in Yarzeh today, the Director of Coordination in the Office of the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Alaa Abdel Aziz, with a delegation representingnbsp;United Nations organizations.
Talks centered on areas of cooperation innbsp;accordance with the quot;United Nations Framework for Cooperation for Sustainable Development 2023-2025quot;, which Lebanon had signed. Thisnbsp;is the most important tool in terms of planning and implementing the United Nations development activities at the national level, in line with national development priorities and implementing a comprehensive package of reforms to cater to people#39;s needs.
The delegation was briefed,nbsp;according to a statement by the media office of the Defense Minister, about the priorities of the Ministry of Defense and its affiliated institutions, and what proposals can be presented in a coordinated manner in order to achieve the desired goals.
Minister Selim praised quot;the ongoingnbsp;and close cooperation with the organizations of the United Nations, especially those that cooperate directly with the Ministry of National Defense in matters that concern the military institution.quot;
