This summer, as <a href="https://www.oag.com/coronavirus-airline-schedules-data" target="_blank" rel="noopener">global airline capacity</a> is almost back to pre-pandemic levels, is no different. </p> <p>Forbes Advisor, a financial advisor platform, analyzed data from 100 US airports to compile <a href="https://www.forbes.com/advisor/travel-insurance/best-travel-insurance/#data-studies" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a list </a>of the 10 worst airports for summer travel based on on-time arrival performance and airfare price. </p> <p>The report gives the airports up to 100 points based on 10 metrics, including delays of different kinds, cancellations, diverted flights, and airfare costs, with delays carrying the most weight. The higher the score, the worse the performance. </p> <p>Florida, which is prone to <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/airports-worst-delays-summer-2022-flightaware-memorial-weekend-travel-newark-2023-5">thunderstorm weather</a>, has three of the top five worst airports for summer travel.
