<p>The school is also known for educating several future <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/category/prime-minister">prime ministers</a>, including <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/category/david-cameron">David Cameron</a> and <a href="https://www.insider.com/boris-johnson-book-deal-memoir-prime-minister-value-2023-1">Boris Johnson</a>.</p>

The application process begins at age 10, when prospective students take an online assessment before taking an in-person test and being interviewed at Eton, according to <a href="https://www.etoncollege.com/ApplicationProcess.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the school's website</a>. </p>
<p>The application to enter Eton in 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026 is closed for everyone except applicants to two specific scholarships, the school's website states. </p>
<p>Once accepted, a student's parents will then have to pay an acceptance fee on top of the school's annual £46,296, or about $58,550, fee, according to Eton's <a href="https://www.etoncollege.com/admissions/fees/">website</a>.</p>

<p>The houses are run by a professional housemaster who supervises the <a href="https://www.insider.com/photos-show-prince-harry-prince-william-relationship-changed-2020-5">boys</a>, and a hired dame who supervises the house's full-time staff. Some of the houses employ private chefs to feed their residents, while others send their students to the school's dining hall.</p>

<p>Redmayne played on the same rugby team as Prince William at Eton, according to <a href="https://people.com/royals/eddie-redmayne-reveals-why-he-felt-a-bit-sorry-for-his-former-rugby-teammate-prince-william/">People</a>.</p>
<p>"I always felt a bit sorry for him because basically any school you played, all they wanted to do was tackle Prince William and they could say, 'I tackled Prince William,'" Redmayne said, according to <a href="https://people.com/royals/eddie-redmayne-reveals-why-he-felt-a-bit-sorry-for-his-former-rugby-teammate-prince-william/">People</a>. "So if you were standing next to Prince William, like I was, it was actually quite easy and quite fun."</p>
