NNA – Former minister and deputy Walid Jumblatt received today anbsp;reply cable from the Vatican State, thanking him on behalf of Pope Francis for the condolences he offerednbsp;on the passing of Pope Benedict XVI.
Thenbsp;cablenbsp;sent by Monsignor Archbishop Edgar Pentilde;a Parra, Undersecretary for Public Affairs at the Vatican Secretariat of State, expressed appreciation to Jumblatt in the name of Pope Francis, for hisnbsp;sincere feelings of condolences on the death of Pope Benedict XVI, recalling the generous service rendered by the late Pontiff to the Church and humanity.
