NNA – Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin has decided to participate in the quot;BRICSquot; summit in South Africa next month via video conference technology.
Peskov stressed that Putin#39;s participation in the quot;BRICSquot; summit will be quot;full participation,quot; adding that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will attend the event as the head of the Russian delegation.
Earlier today, the office of the South African President announced that Putin would not attend the quot;BRICSquot; summit in the country, by quot;mutual agreementquot;, provided that Russia would be represented at the summit by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
