NNA – Caretaker Information Minister Ziad Makary on Monday said in the wake of the cabinet session: quot;The extension of Central Bank Governor Riad Salamehrsquo;s mandate has not been raised in today#39;s cabinet session, yet the governor#39;s deputies have asked for cover to provide government lending and secure salaries.rdquo;
However, Makary noted that ministers have capitalized on the need to appoint a new Central Bank Governor as soon as possible.
