Bivvy pet insurance – Product Name Only is probably the cheapest pet insurance around, but it’s not offering new policies at this time, so you’ll want to look elsewhere to find the best pet insurance.
Bivvy is one of the cheapest pet insurance providers around, charging just a flat fee of $15 per month per pet regardless of breed, age or size.
However, you get what you pay for — assuming you can even sign up for a Bivvy plan, since the company is not insuring new pets at this time. Bivvy only covers 50% of each claim after a $100 deductible, and limits annual reimbursement to a maximum of $2,000.
Unfortunately, Bivvy misses the mark on some major fronts. Beyond the fact that you may not even be able to purchase a policy through this provider right now, the affordable monthly premiums come at the cost of good coverage, which could make or break your peace of mind in the event of a costly incident.

How Bivvy Pet Insurance Compares
Bivvy vs. Companion Protect Pet Insurance
Companion Protect Pet Insurance – Brand Name and Bivvy have a lot in common, offering some of the simplest pet insurance policies in the game. Both insurance providers only offer a single plan option, both with relatively low monthly premiums as well as a $100 deductible requirement for each eligible claim.
Companion Protect costs $45 per month for dogs, while Bivvy only costs $15 per month for any cat or dog. As mentioned above, both providers charge a $100 deductible per eligible claim before reimbursing the remainder of the fee after factoring in coinsurance.
However, Bivvy’s coinsurance rate is 50% after the $100 deductible, while Companion Protect covers 90% of the remaining bill after the $100 deductible has been paid. Bivvy’s annual reimbursement ceiling is $2,000 per year, while Companion Protect has a lifetime reimbursement maximum of $100,000.

Bivvy vs. Pumpkin Pet Insurance
Pumpkin Pet Insurance – Brand Name offers a really great plan for pets that may need frequent vet visits. Pumpkin reimburses eligible claims at a flat rate of 90%, with an annual deductible that can begin as low as $100 per year — the same cost as a single Bivvy insurance claim deductible.
Of course, this level of coverage comes at a cost. A policy with 90% reimbursement and $100 annual deductible will cost you $139 per month, while Bivvy’s $100-per claim deductible and 50% reimbursement rate will only cost you $15 per month.

Bivvy vs. Healthy Paws Pet Insurance
If you’re looking for coverage that’s a little bit more in the middle of the pricing pack, Healthy Paws Pet Insurance – Product Name Only has a good policy to compare against Bivvy. This insurance provider offers two tiers of reimbursement — 70% or 80% per claim — and you can choose from an annual deductible of $250 or $500.
As with Pumpkin, you’ll pay a bit more for this peace of mind, although monthly premiums under Healthy Paws are significantly lower than Pumpkin’s. A policy with the lowest-tier coverage of 70% reimbursement and $500 annual deductible will only cost you $42 per month — three dollars less than Companion Protect’s policy, which reimburses at 90% but comes with a $100 deductible per claim.
