<p>On July 16, Rogan <a href="https://twitter.com/joerogan/status/1680665430325641224">tweeted</a> to his 11 million followers a link to <a href="https://phys.org/news/2023-07-age-universe-billion-years-previously.html">a press release</a> from the University of Ottawa promoting recent research from Rajendra Gupta, one of the school’s adjunct physics professors.</p>
<p>Flouting decades of work by hundreds of the world’s best astronomers and physicists, Gupta invented a new formula, blended it with data from NASA’s <a href="https://www.thedailybeast.com/nasas-james-webb-space-telescope-could-lead-us-to-treasure-trove-of-rogue-alien-planets">James Webb Space Telescope</a> and concluded the universe is 26.7 billions years old.</p>
