The first of August is a day written in bright letters on the pages of our history, where every year we recall a journey full of honor, sacrifice, and loyalty undertaken by the Army with an unwavering determination over the course of seventy-eight years with all their complexities and challenges.

Today, as the military institution continues to perform its duty in ensuring domestic security and peace with determination, despite the recent years#39; difficulties and the living conditions that weigh heavily on the military personnel as well as all Lebanese, we realize that our efforts, sacrifices, and the blood of our martyrs and wounded are but a step towards the right direction, serving the national interest and nothing else.

Fellow troops

Over the last period, Lebanon has witnessed a series of consecutive events that have had repercussions on many levels, internally and externally. During these events, you have set an example in willpower, resilience, and concern for the lives of the Lebanese, by defusing tensions and pursuing those who threaten security in various regions with the highest levels of professionalism, transparency, selflessness, and discipline; disregarding campaigns of slander and rumors.

You stand steadfast at the southern borders in the face of the Israeli enemy, and you continue to carry out your operational missions in coordination with the UNIFIL in accordance with International Resolution 1701 and its provisions, and you confront the threat of terrorism and thwart its destructive schemes.

At the same time, the Army Command continues to exert its maximum efforts to alleviate the burden of the crisis on your shoulders and to secure your rights based on the great trust that the military institution enjoys domestically and from friend countries. This trust has been manifested in several tangible steps during the past period, including the aid provided by these countries, as well as by Lebanese residents and expatriates who see in the Army the first guarantor of Lebanon#39;s sovereignty, security, and stability.

Fellow troops

Be confident that what you sacrifice in sweat and blood is the primary reason for the survival of the homeland, for which no sacrifice is too great. Hold on to your code, and know that your resilience will undoubtedly lead to the salvation and revival of our country from its crisis, so that it can regain its role and radiance.quot;
