NNA -nbsp;Today, Tuesday, the United Nations announced the displacement of about 20,000 people as a result of the violence in the city of Nyala in the state of South Darfur – western Sudan, after clashes described as quot;deadlyquot;, according to quot;Russia Todayquot; agency.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs expressed its deep concern over reports of deadly clashes in South Darfur, Sudan, in recent days.

The governor of the Darfur region, Minni Arko Minawi, appealed to the international community and humanitarian organizations to deliver humanitarian aid to the Darfur region, which is subject to quot;difficult and catastrophicquot; conditions.

During the past days, violent clashes erupted between the Sudanese army and the quot;Rapid Supportquot; forces in the city of Nyala, and led to deaths and injuries, and a large displacement from several neighborhoods in the city.

At the beginning of the week, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) expressed deep concern about the deteriorating health conditions in Sudan, with the number of forcibly displaced people exceeding four million, due to the ongoing crisis in the country.
