NNA – Kuwait#39;s Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday that it had detected the EG.5 a COVID variant belonging to a subset of the virus.
According to a health official cited by Kuwait#39;s news agency KUNA, the identification of the variant was in line with expectations and not a cause for alarm, considering its presence in around 50 countries.
The statement also said that the country#39;s epidemiological indicators show stability.
The ministry also urged people to continue to adhere to prevention guidelines, such as wearing masks, social distancing, and getting vaccinated.–agenciesnbsp;
