A passenger who put his feet on a seat while traveling on a rush hour train has been slammed by a tired commuter.

The furious passenger was traveling on a train from Cronulla in Sydney’s south to Bondi Junction in the city’s eastern suburbs when she noticed the disgusting act.

The commuter said the woman put her feet in the opposite seat when there were other passengers on the crowded train who needed to sit down.

Fed up with the woman’s reckless act, the passenger who witnessed the incident took a photo and posted it on Facebook calling the woman out.

“Please note that it is not fair to place your feet on the seat opposite yours,” she said.

“You kept your feet and were hesitant to put them down when another lady needed to sit down.

“You then placed them next to her.”

The woman’s post in the Essential Sutherland Shire Facebook group continued: ‘I’m sorry but that’s just plain wrong.

“This is not your living room.”

The commuter said she decided to post the image of the woman because she didn’t think telling her anything would change her behavior.

Daily Mail Australia is contacting Sydney Trains for comment.

The woman placed her feet on the seat opposite her, which was noticed by another passenger who was traveling on the peak-hour service from Cronulla to Bondi Junction in Sydney’s east.

Passengers who put their feet on the seats while traveling on trains face heavy fines for this violation.

In New South Wales, commuters can be fined $100 for the act.

Violators could also be slapped with a maximum fine of $1,100.

In Victoria, adults will be fined $288 for the violation, while even children who put their feet in the seats are fined $96.

In Queensland, fines of $275 apply.

Thousands of fans were stranded at Olympic Park on Wednesday night following the Matildas’ semi-final game against England after a signal outage caused travel chaos.

The incident comes after Sydney’s rail system made headlines this week when thousands of fans were stranded in Olympic Park following the Matildas’ semi-final against England on Wednesday night.

The massive disruption to overnight rail services following Australia’s loss to England was caused by a signal failure at a station in central western Sydney.

Two homeless people cut open wires inside the station’s relay room, causing travel chaos and forcing NSW Premier Chris Minns to apologize to passengers.
