TikTokers are taking aim at a clothing collection launched this week by McDonald’s in collaboration with skate brand Palace.
The fast food giant released a capsule collection of t-shirts and hoodies on Wednesday branded with its iconic golden arches and the Palace logo.
McDonald’s also transformed one of its restaurants in Downey, California into a pop-up store. It plastered the outlet’s interior and windows with Palace branding, as well as on its signs and packaging.

Some TikTok users have criticized the high prices of the 15-piece collection, which can be purchased on a pop-up website. Customers can access the drop by scanning a QR code on its McNuggets packaging, according to Esquire.
TikTok user Sneaker Supplier said it’s “outrageous” that McDonald’s and the skateboarding and clothing company are charging £118 ($150) for a hoodie with its logo. Nine t-shirts are listed on the website and cost £46 ($59).
“£118 to put a McDonald’s logo and type out Palace is kind of outrageous,” Sneaker Supplier said. “It’s clean and simple though.”

TikToker Ryan Sullivan called the designs “trash” and “lazy”. Another user, Always Air Forces, posted a video alongside a caption that reads “I’m not McLovin’ it” and said that the collaboration is “awful” and looks like the uniforms worn by McDonald’s workers.
“One of the worst collabs I’ve ever seen in my entire life,” he said. “Who the hell is wearing this?”
TikToker Kayhooz said the collection was “not good” and that he’s “disappointed.” He added that McDonald’s has recently been sharing movies and TV shows that its brand has featured on social media and that he expected the clothing to reference those.
McDonald’s and Palace didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment from Insider, made outside normal working hours.
