A Florida woman has been charged with poisoning a man she invited home from a bar with a cocktail laced with Raid ‘Roach & Ant bug’ spray
A man, who has not been identified, accused Veronica Cline of mixing the poisonous spray into two of his drinks, which caused him to vomit for 30 minutes.
Cline, who knew the man, was taken to Volusia County Jail and held without bail pending his first court appearance on charges of food or drink poisoning.

A Florida woman has been accused of poisoning a man she invited to her home by giving him a drink containing Raid ‘Roach & Ant bug’ spray.
Deputies from the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office were called to a home on Wheeler Street in DeLeon Springs at approximately 4:30 a.m. and found the victim who was later taken to hospital.
A man, who has not been identified, told responding officers that Veronica Cline, 29, came home after drinking at a bar and asked him to “keep drinking with her at home”.
After two drinks, the man said he started to feel sick, which is when Cline revealed she added Raid to both drinks.

The victim told MPs he was vomiting for around 30 minutes before he could call for help and was sick again while giving his statement to an MP.
Cline was not in the house when deputies arrived, but a K-9 unit tracked her down nearby and she was taken into custody.

Bodycam footage released by the Volusia Sheriff’s Office shows a responding officer walking through a wooded area with a K-9 unit dog.
As the officer begins to walk past a bush, the dog can be seen standing near a woman who is sitting with her back against a tree.
“Show me your fucking hands,” the officer yells at the woman identified as Cline. “Ok, ok, ok, ok,” Cline can be heard responding as the officer yells at her to show her hands.
“Walk towards me now, walk towards me, stop there and get on your knees,” the officer then orders Cline who slowly walks towards him backwards.
Cline can be seen kneeling on the ground as the officer orders the police dog to ‘watch her’ while another officer can be heard in the background off camera.

“Don’t move,” the officer says as he walks over and then begins handcuffing Cline with his hands behind his back.
“Did he bite you somewhere,” the officer asks Cline who only says on the knee, “it really hurts a lot,” she adds.
The officer can then be heard congratulating the dog, who also appears to have retrieved Cline’s phone.
The man was known to Cline and his condition at this time is unclear.
