Biking influencer is killed after crashing his motorcycle into a dog in Turkey

A cycling influencer who planned to marry his motorbike-crazed fiancée has died after hitting a dog with his motorbike.

Influencer Burak Can Tasan, 23, was thrown off his bike after hitting the animal in Saricam district of Adana in Turkey.

Although he was rushed to hospital after the crash, Tasan later died after sustaining multiple injuries, according to local media.

He was just weeks away from marrying fellow cycling enthusiast Yaren Kara after the couple announced their engagement on July 3.

Tasan – whose account has more than 130,000 followers on Instagram – has previously shared how his romance with Ms Kara changed his life.

In a moving message to his fiancée, he wrote: “The year 2022 orchestrated its last surprise, leading me to you.

“Until now, I didn’t understand the concept of love or being loved.

– That, I learned from you, my love.

“I am grateful for the continual nurturing of my inner goodness and for never letting go of my hands.

“I am ready to travel with you until the end of life.”

Tasan was an avid biker, who frequently shared posts on social media to show his passion for bikes.

After the death of her fiancée, Ms Kara posted a video of herself in tears while holding a bouquet of flowers Tasan had given her as a gift.

Turkish police have opened an investigation into the accident, but it is currently unknown whether the dog survived the collision.
