An Ohio teenager who killed her boyfriend and one of his friends in an intentional 100mph crash has been sentenced to 15 years to life in prison.
Mackenzie Shirilla, 20, sobbed as she learned of her conviction on Monday for the murders of her boyfriend Dominic Russo, 20, and friend Davion Flanagan, 19, in July 2022.
In November last year, she was charged with murder, aggravated driving homicide and felony assault, although she insisted the crash was an accident.

Judge Nancy Margaret Russo said on Monday the most important piece of evidence against Shirilla was the ‘chilling and tragic’ surveillance video, which shows her speeding up to smash her Toyota Camry into the wall of a building commercial.
“That’s the kind of evidence you can never ignore,” Russo said.

She said Shirilla, who was 17 at the time of the crash, was “hell on wheels”.
