Eufy’s new X8 Pro robot vacuum can detangle hair automatically

Anker’s Eufy division has a new robot vacuum with more powerful suction than its other offerings and that can automatically detangle hair and pet hair from its bottom brush roll.

The new $649.99 Eufy Clean X8 Pro vacuum cleaner is available to purchase today on Amazon and includes many advanced features available in other vacuums, such as infrared laser navigation and AI home maps to avoid and remember walls and other obstacles. The X8 Pro also features automatic emptying and basic mopping capabilities.

Anker’s press release claims that the Eufy X8 Pro is an “improved version” of the 2021 X8 Hybrid, which sold for the same price. The “Twin-Turbine 2.0” motors of the new X8 Pro offer 4000 Pa of suction each, more than the 2000 Pa of the X8 Hybrid. With its new design, the X8 Pro’s important side brush is located on the front right of the robot, which pushes dirt directly towards the rotating brush, which is V-shaped to help guide leftover macaroni and kibble directly into the suction route. . Once a session is complete, the X8 Pro can rotate its brush roll in the opposite direction and use a built-in comb to remove tangled hair and pet hair.

The Pro also includes a larger air duct and oversized air filter compared to the X8 Hybrid, and can pick up more debris.

The docking station inhales all the dirt from the X8 Pro into a dust bag that Anker says is large enough (2.5L) to hold up to 45 days of collection before the bag needs to be removed for disposal. According to Anker, the self-emptying station includes a triple filtration system that helps seal out 99.9 percent of dirt while running a collection cycle. You won’t get rotary mops that can self-clean and heat dry like the X9 Pro, but you can still let the X8 Pro’s bottom cloth mop the floor for general cleaning.
