Carolina Panthers offensive lineman Chandler Zavala was carted off the field in a game against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.
After a personal contact, Zavala went to work on a routine blocking assignment and stayed there for several minutes.
The Panthers sideline disappeared and play was stopped when Zavala was stabilized in a neck brace and on a backboard.
As he was carted off the field, he reportedly gave a thumbs up to indicate he was conscious.
The Panthers said he was taken to the hospital after the incident and is being treated for a neck injury.
