<p>Ohio Rep. <a href="https://www.thedailybeast.com/keyword/jim-jordan">Jim Jordan</a>’s expertise may be in college wrestling, but he might excel even more in the world of professional wrestling as a “<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heel_(professional_wrestling)">heel</a>.” Consider the <a href="https://www.thedailybeast.com/lets-imagine-a-world-with-jim-jordan-as-house-speaker">heavy-handed arm-twisting</a> being employed to try and <a href="https://www.thedailybeast.com/jim-jordan-gops-next-choice-to-win-impossible-speaker-race?ref=topic">make him Speaker of the House</a>.</p>
<p>“Several of Mr. Jordan’s supporters have posted the phone numbers of mainstream G.O.P. lawmakers they count as holdouts,” <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2023/10/14/us/house-speaker-republicans-jordan.html">according to <em>The New York Times</em></a>.</p>
<p>One of the holdouts targeted was Rep. <a href="https://twitter.com/EndWokeness/status/1713605287985267047?s=20">Mike Rogers</a> (R-AL). Like clockwork, Rogers joined other <a href="https://twitter.com/RepDrewFerguson/status/1713985870221472157">erstwhile</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/Olivia_Beavers/status/1713978088579608991">Jordan opponents</a> on Monday, announcing that he would <a href="https://twitter.com/RepMikeRogersAL/status/1713911208493961598">support Jordan</a>.</p>
