NNA – France will send a military adviser to Armenia and will also train Armenian special forces, the head of the French Armed Forces Sebastien Lecornu said after talks with Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikayn in Paris.
The minister, in particular, listed the programs and directions in which the sides have either already started cooperation or intend to start.

He said numerous working meetings and military visits are scheduled. The talks also involved discussions on cooperation with military educational institutions that train sergeants and officers.
Lecornu paid special attention to the preparation of Armenian special forces , in particular, for fighting in high mountainous terrains. Armenian snipers will also undergo retraining.
The French Minister also informed about the delivery of three GM200 radars to Armenia and the signing of a memorandum of understanding on future deliveries of Mistral air defense systems. The French side also intends to conduct an audit of the ground air defense forces of Armenia.mdash;agenciesnbsp;
