Kmart has come under fire after customers noticed higher prices on larger-sized clothing.
Montana, from Queensland, was shopping at Kmart when she noticed the brand’s Pocket Shorts were priced at $15 for sizes 6 and 8, but $17 for sizes 10 to 18.
The mother was baffled that the retail giant was apparently charging more for different sizes of the same product, and thousands of people were also outraged by the tactic.
“Since when did Kmart change prices for sizes 10 and above? » she asked in a video.
However, FEMAIL understands that a sudden drop in prices has resulted in incorrect and inconsistent pricing of some pairs of shorts by staff.
Although all products are scanned at $15, the $17 price tags are outdated compared to old clothing stock.
The Kmart website also advertised all sizes of shorts for $15.
