An Arabic copy of Hitler’s Nazi manifesto “Mein Kampf” was found in a children’s bedroom used as a terrorist base in northern Gaza, Israel’s president said today.
IDF forces operating in northern Gaza have made a shocking discovery on the body of a terrorist in a civilian home used as a Hamas base, President Isaac Herzog told the BBC’s Laura Kuenssberg today.
The family home had also housed explosives laboratories and represented further evidence of Hamas’ terrorist activity among Gaza’s civilian population, he said.
The anti-Semitic and partly autobiographical leaflet, written by Hitler in 1925, was among the personal effects of one of the terrorists and included notes in the margins, highlighted sections and annotated post-it notes.
President Herzog said: “This is Adolf Hitler’s book, Mein Kampf, translated into Arabic.

“The terrorist wrote notes, marked sections and studied over and over Adolf Hitler’s ideology of hating Jews,” President Herzog said as he flipped through the book to show the annotations and highlighting.
President Herzog made the revelation in a BBC interview, in which he held up the book
“It’s the book that led to the Holocaust and the book that led to World War II. This book was found a few days ago in northern Gaza.
“In a child’s bedroom, which has become a base used for the terrorist activities of the terrorist organization Hamas. The terrorist wrote notes, marked sections, and studied over and over Adolf Hitler’s ideology of hating Jews, killing Jews, burning and massacring Jews wherever they were. This is the real war we face.
Responding to reports of the desperate humanitarian crisis in northern Gaza, Herzog stressed: “There is a lot of manipulation on the part of Hamas. There is electricity in Shifa (hospital), everything works.
“We talk to managers. We didn’t go to Shifa where, unfortunately, under Shifa, there is a huge, huge terrorist base, actually the headquarters, the headquarters of Hamas-ISIS operations is right there, under Shifa.
“Now, what exactly are we supposed to do?” Leave things as they are and, in a few years, start the same movements again – and you will say that it is disproportionate and that civilians will be killed?
“So we are calling on everyone not involved to go to another nearby hospital, and we are coordinating this very carefully with all forces present around that location. Hamas stops them.
