Goodbye reality TV! Former Real Housewives of Orange County star Meghan King has announced she will be pursuing a different career after moving to St. Louis, Missouri
Big change: As she continues to navigate this new chapter of her life, following the end of her short-lived marriage to Cuffe Biden Owens last year, the TV personality revealed that she has begun studying for her real estate license (seen in 2017)
After a turbulent few years since leaving the show, from her and Edmonds’ bitter divorce to dealing with their son Hart’s health issues, King recently revealed that she has hit the books to become a real estate agent.
“It’s been seventeen years since I swore in a classroom at Ole Miss that I would never go to school again, yet here I am studying for my real estate license in Missouri,” she captioned a selfie of herself in the library. ‘Yes. I said it now, that means I have to pass.”
She continued: ‘Yesterday I studied for 11.5 hours, with the only breaks being dinner and putting my kids to bed – this is not for the faint of heart!’
The TV personality further mused that spending so much time in the library has made it her “most visited location,” according to her phone.
Her dedication to the books also leaves her “no time for trivial things like posting on Instagram.”
King then asked her more than 946,000 Instagram followers to give her “all the advice” and “referrals.”
On Tuesday, she said all her hard work paid off and she “passed” her real estate exam after taking classes and studying for the past 17 days.
“It was a much tougher journey than I expected, but I worked and studied hard and I did it,” she admitted.

The reality TV star told her fans at the time that she was “nervous” before her job interview, but that it ultimately went “fine.”
The blonde beauty further admitted that the idea of a career change made her anxious, but felt inspired by setting a good example for her children.
‘I’ve been working for myself for years, but I need more. I worry about how my life will change, but I have three kids in school full time and I need to show them that single moms can do anything, while also feeding my soul by working (I love to work) work),” she wrote.
She then asked her followers for some tips: ‘Has anyone made the transition from home to the office? Best practices? Biggest surprise?’
The choice comes after she admitted she felt her annulled marriage to Biden Owens was a “mistake.”
She married 43-year-old Owens, an LA lawyer, in October, but they split in December 2021.
King unveiled at Caroline Stanbury’s Divorced, not dead podcast that she is happy that the short relationship is now behind her.
