Multiple people were shot near a school in Washington, D.C. Wednesday afternoon.
The scene is near O Street NW and North Capitol Street in the Truxton Circle neighborhood.
Police and fire officials responded to the area around 12:45 p.m. and located the victims in the street, police said. Two people were pronounced dead and at least three more were taken to a hospital.

A motive for the crime remains unknown and no arrests have been made.
