The Crown’s Meg Bellamy joined her co-stars Ed McVey and Luther Ford on Thursday’s This Morning as they discussed their roles in the hit series.
The actress, 21, who plays a young Kate Middleton, admitted she “didn’t remember the real-life events” depicted in the final series, as the trio revealed how it affected their performances.
The final six episodes of The Crown, which will be released on Netflix on December 14, will feature Meg as Kate alongside Ed, who plays William, and Luther Ford as Prince Harry.
The second part will bring to our screens the key moment at university in the blossoming relationship between the now Prince and Princess of Wales.
Before its release, Meg explained: “We were babies and we didn’t really remember anything about the real-life events of this series.”

“I think it’s helpful because we were able to see him just as a character on the page,” Ed added.
Recalling the moment they found out they had landed their roles, Luther recalled: “It was an open casting call and my sister sent it to me. I was studying film at the time and had no plans to become an actor.
‘My mom specifically told me that you’ll never get the part if you’re nothing like him!’
Meg explained: “I was at Legoland Windsor when I got the call. I was playing at being a giant snake when I got the message.
“I had to run into a room and when I came out, the first person I spoke to was a customer who said, ‘My skip-the-line card doesn’t work.’ I said, ‘Wait a minute,’ because I thought he might faint. .

Wokingham actress Meg, who was plucked from obscurity to play the role, struts down the catwalk at St Andrews’ Bay Hotel in the famous sheer dress and black underwear.

It begins with cheers and screams from the audience, before the camera pans and we see Kate in the Charlotte Todd-designed strapless dress with turquoise trim. Kate, whose braids fall in the same waves as the princess’s 20 years earlier, begins to strut down the runway and the shot of her cuts to Prince William, who looks up from her glass of wine.
The prince then leans forward, captivated by Kate, as she rounds the corner and poses for the cameras before moving on. She then continues walking, stopping to pose again and a slow motion shot sees her and William, who seems quite smitten with her, share a look at her. William purses his lips before breaking into a smile.
Kate turns around but soon looks at him, before doing one last turn and walking off stage smiling.
More than two decades have passed since the moment between the student couple occurred in real life.
William is believed to have paid £200 for a ticket to sit in the front row of the show with friends and is rumored to have turned to one of them and said: “Wow, Kate is hot.”
It is said to be the turning point in the couple’s relationship, as they eventually went from being close friends to developing romantic feelings for each other.
The dress in question sold for a staggering £78,000 at auction after the show and became one of Kate’s best-known fashion moments.
The couple were studying at St Andrew’s University at the time and met the previous year, although Kate’s appearance on the catwalk is believed to have been the catalyst for the romance.
Kate was working towards a degree in art history, while William, who initially enrolled in art history, had switched to geography.
