NNA – Reuters quoted an Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman today as saying that the release of a Spanish citizen detained in Iran is a ldquo;humanitarian and legalrdquo; measure, without providing further details.
The Iranian embassy in Madrid and the semi-official Iranian Student News Network said on Sunday that Iranian authorities had released a Spanish national after he was arrested on suspicion of espionage.
