This weekend the ceremony was held to celebrate the life of Keisha Nash, the ex-wife of actor Forest Whitaker.
Forest, 62, attended the ceremony with relatives of the actress, producer and model who died at age 51 on Dec. 6 from alcoholic liver disease.
It took place at the Brickroom LA in Los Angeles, California, on Saturday, according to People.
Their daughters Autumn, Sonnet and True were there, as was their father, Jeffery.
Celebrity friends John Travolta and Stevie Wonder were also in attendance.
Nash’s porcelain urn rested on a mirrored stand. The room was filled with photographs of her and her children and there was a display of candles.

Whitaker, who was married to Nash from 1996 to 2018 – spoke at the service.
‘I was trying to write a book about celebrating everyday glamour.
“She told me, ‘This book will show you how you can make every moment of your life glamorous, special, a special moment to cherish and celebrate.’”
At the end of his speech he said: ‘And the celebration continues. She was amazing. We all love her.’
Celebrity Performance Coach Joseph McClendon saying, ‘At least for today, I would like to present and suggest something else that Keisha left nothing behind.
“She gave us a gift and the gift was her memories.”
McClendon asked his friends to record his name in diaries.
“And at least write your memories on it for the next 10 days,” he said.
“The memories she gave us will come to life and that will become her legacy that you too will carry on.”

Last week it was revealed that he died from alcoholic liver disease aged 51 in December.
Nash-Whitaker, who struggled with anorexia for years, suffered from the disease – which occurs when the liver is severely damaged by excessive alcohol consumption – for years before her death, according to a death certificate obtained by TMZ reveals.
Acute kidney failure, which can be caused by anorexia, is also listed as a major contributing factor to his death. He died at Northridge Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles County.
The former couple’s daughter, True Whitaker, 25, confirmed the tragic news on her Instagram account last month, calling her “the most beautiful woman in the world” in a heartbreaking post, but did not elaborate on the cause of death.
A source told DailyMail.com that Nash-Whitaker died after being in and out of hospital for the past few months with intestinal problems, following a years-long battle with anorexia.

“Keisha struggled with anorexia for years,” says a source. Forrest remained by her side during those difficult times, but the following year she filed for divorce in 2015.
Whitaker and Nash share two daughters, Sonnet, 27, and True, 25.
“They remained friends and their divorce was amicable, but since Whitaker said his wife was ‘kind, funny, bright and cheerful, and a good mother to her children, there was no need not to remain friendly.’
Meanwhile, True’s emotional post read: ‘Bye mommy.
‘I love you forever and beyond,’ True posted on her account along with a photo of her mother.
‘The most beautiful woman in the world… thank you for teaching me everything I know. I will see you in my dreams and feel you in my heart.’
