<p>Loved ones revealed this week that Angela Chao, a 50-year-old shipping executive and sister-in-law to Sen. <a href="https://www.thedailybeast.com/keyword/mitch-mcconnell">Mitch McConnell</a> (R-KY), died in a <a href="https://www.thedailybeast.com/keyword/texas">Texas</a> car crash on Saturday. </p>
<p>Chao’s family confirmed her death in a statement, in which her dad said losing her—the youngest of six daughters—at “such a young age is something we never even imagined, and our entire family is devastated with grief.”</p>
<p>Details about the crash itself were not released.</p>
