Ulrika Jonsson has lashed out at Katie Price over her multiple getaways after the glamour model complained that she has ‘limited access’ to her children.
Katie, 44, recently said she was concerned about her kids’ ‘mental health’ and claimed she is no longer a prominent part in their lives.
TV presenter Ulrika, 55, has now ripped into the ex glamour model for ‘heading off on seemingly endless holidays’, adding that her comments ‘sound a little strange’.
‘No Katie, they need a good mum!’ Ulrika Jonsson has lashed out at Katie Price for jetting off on ‘endless holidays’ – after the star claimed she has ‘limited access’ to her children
Katie shares her youngest kids Jett, nine, and Bunny, eight, with her ex-husband Kieran Hayler, 35, who she split from in 2018, however he denies her claims.
Ulrika wrote in her column for The Sun: ‘Price says kids need their mum. No, Katie. Kids don’t need their mum or their dad. They need a good mum and a good dad.
‘What really matters is the quality of the parent. A bad mum or dad is likely to do more damage than good.
‘Who knows the truth behind the Price-Hayler story. But gripes about limited access sound a little strange coming from a mum who heads off on seemingly endless holidays.’
Ouch: Ulrika wrote in her column for The Sun: ‘Price says kids need their mum. No, Katie. Kids don’t need their mum or their dad. They need a good mum and a good dad’
Speaking in her upcoming Channel 4 documentary, Trauma And Me, the Celebrity Big Brother winner said: ‘Recent events have meant I’m seeing my youngest children less and the relationship between me and their father has broken down.’
Katie added: ‘It’s not good for my mental health and it’s certainly not good for their mental health. They should be having their mum in their life. At the moment I’m stuck in this rut with Jett and Bunny and it is frustrating for me.
‘You know, seven months, how has it even got to this? It’s heart-breaking and I just wish it wasn’t like this. All I can do is hope that this won’t be forever.’

Representatives for Katie have been contacted for comment.
In recent months, Katie and Kieran’s relationship has come under more strain after the model broke a restraining order against Kieran’s fiancée Michelle Penticost.
Kieran’s spokesperson told MailOnline of Katie’s claims: ‘This is categorically untrue, Kieran’s focus remains on the children’s best interest and in maintaining the children’s best interests and safety at all times – Miss Price’s version of events are never accurately portrayed.’
Separated: Katie shares son Jett, nine, and daughter Bunny, eight, with ex-husband Kieran Hayler but fears for their ‘mental health’ as she is no longer a prominent part in their lives
Kieran’s representative went on to criticise producers of Katie’s upcoming documentary, claiming they did not get in touch with him for his side of the story.
They added: ‘It is a shame the producers of the programme did not feel it appropriate to balance the claims by interviewing the father, who has first hand kept the children in a loving, caring and stable environment.’
MailOnline has contacted Channel 4, and Kieran and Katie’s representatives for comment.
His comments come after Katie detailed her childcare woes as well as her battle with suicidal thoughts and PTSD in her documentary Katie Price: Trauma And Me.
Slammed: Kieran (pictured with fiancée Michelle Penticost) has hit back at Katie’s claims, insisting her ‘version of events’ has not ‘accurately portrayed’ their co-parenting situation
Katie revealed: ‘The hardest thing I’ve had to deal with in the recent months is having limited access to some of my kids.
‘Recent events have meant I’m seeing my youngest children less and the relationship between me and their father has broken down.’
She added: ‘It’s not good for my mental health and it’s certainly not good for their mental health. They should be having their mum in their life. At the moment I’m stuck in this rut with Jett and Bunny and it is frustrating for me.

Struggles: Elsewhere in her documentary, Katie said that after a bout of ‘severe depression’ she considered taking her own life and the thing that kept her going was her children
Katie and Kieran, 35, were together for seven years, marrying in 2013 in the Bahamas, but their romance was marred by Kieran’s two flings with two of Katie’s close pals.
The pair split in 2018 but did not have their divorce finalised until 2021, during which time Kieran met his now-fiancée Michelle.
In recent months, Katie and Kieran’s relationship came under more strain after the model broke a restraining order against Michelle.
She was handed 170 hours of community service after claiming she ‘misunderstood’ the rules of a restraining order banning her from contacting Michelle, who she had called a ‘gutter s**g’ in an abusive text.
The former I’m A Celebrity contestant faced the prospect of a stint behind bars after admitting her later restraining order breach.
She was convicted earlier this year, just weeks after flipping her BMW X5 having spent the night drinking and taking cocaine – her ninth driving offence.
Katie had been banned from contacting Michelle directly or indirectly for five years in June 2019 after she hurled a foul-mouthed ‘tirade of abuse’ at her during a row in a school playground.
The message read: ‘Tell your c***ing w***e piece of s**t girlfriend not to start on me.
‘She has a restraining order so shouldn’t try antagonise me as she is in breach and I’m sure she doesn’t want people knowing that she was having an affair with you behind my back. That gutter s**g.’

Michelle later claimed that the couple have had several ‘incidents’ with Katie and claimed that she once turned up without warning.
She insisted that as well as hurling abuse at her and personal trainer Kieran, Katie has also said ‘horrible’ things about their son Apollo.
Earlier this month, Katie reportedly landed in hot water with Kieran again over a video she shared of their daughter Bunny on social media.
‘Alarm bells’ were said to have rung for the former stripper after he watched a video of his daughter eating a lollipop, which has since been deleted by Katie.
Children: Katie shares Jett and Bunny with Kieran. Harvey’s father is Dwight Yorke, while Katie is also mother to Junior, 17, and Princess, 15, with ex-husband Peter Andre
The three-minute long video saw Bunny eating a lollipop, calling it ASMR, also known as autonomous sensory meridian response videos – which feature sounds that provoke a relaxed and pleasant sensation in the body – with fans using them to de-stress or drift off to sleep.
ASMR occurs involuntarily and is induced by focusing on auditory, tactile, or visual triggers.
Common examples of these triggers include receiving or watching someone else receive personal attention, such as massages or hair brushing, and also from listening to soft sounds such as whispers or tapping.
Despite the seemingly harmless nature of Bunny’s clip, Katie was soon flooded with comments from worried parents as they warned her about child safety online.
After watching the video of his daughter, Kieran was said to be ‘furious’ with his ex-wife.
A representative of the father-of-three told The Sun: ‘Kieran has been made aware of this recent post and will address with Miss Price.
‘It’s raised alarm bells and concern over videos featuring their daughter Bunny. The children’s safety is paramount, Kieran will exercise the appropriate measure to ensure this.’
Katie was previously married to Peter Andre, father of her two children Junior, 16, and Princess, 14, for four years, before her ill-fated marriage to husband number two Alex Reid, which lasted just 11 months.
She is also mother to son Harvey, 20, who suffers from Prader-Willi Syndrome, partial blindness and autism, and has no relationship with his footballer father Dwight Yorke.

Elsewhere in her upcoming documentary, Katie said that after a bout of ‘severe depression’ she considered taking her own life and the thing that kept her going was her children.
‘All I saw was the kids’ faces and I never want that to happen again,’ she said.
Katie added: ‘I hit a severe depression a couple of years ago, depression on top of PTSD. I was suicidal, I didn’t want to be here.’
Katie checked herself into private mental health facility The Priory in London at the beginning of 2020 after having suicidal thoughts.
Katie Price: Trauma And Me will air on Thursday September 8 at 9pm on Channel 4
