NNA – Ambassador MAGOSHI Masayuki attended the handover ceremony of the picture archiving and communication system and medical equipment for Dar Al Ajaza Al Islamia Hospital (DAIH), which was supported by the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP). The ceremony was held in the presence of Mr. Oussama Choucair, President of the Board of Trustees.

Dar Al Ajaza Al Islamia Hospital (DAIH) is a pivotal healthcare institution operating in one of Beirut#39;s impoverished neighborhoods and serving about 10,000 individuals at minimal costs The project, implemented by DAIH, willnbsp;allows accurate and effective diagnostic processes, and reinstates vital ultrasound services for approximately 3,000 patients, signifying Japan#39;s commitment to grassroots healthcare development in Lebanon.

During the inauguration ceremony, Ambassador MAGOSHI emphasized the importance of strengthening Lebanon#39;s healthcare system and highlighted that this project would enhance the hospital#39;s ability to manage patient data and expand diagnostic services, ultimately improving patient care. He concluded by reaffirming Japan#39;s commitment to supporting Lebanon#39;s medical institutions and alleviating the socio-economic burden on the country.

In return, Mr. Oussama Choucair, President of the Board of Trustees, expressed deep gratitude for Japan#39;s ongoing generosity and leadership in supporting the hospital. He emphasized the hospital#39;s commitment to serving its community and training future medical professionals. Mr. Choucair concluded by expressing hope for a continued partnership with Japan.nbsp;
