NNA – Twenty-seven people were killed and 16 injured in Nepal when a bus carrying tourists from India plunged into a river below the road, local authorities said.
quot;Twenty-seven people were killed out of 43 people on board the bus,quot; Janardan Gautam, an official in the central Tanahun district, told AFP. Sixteen injured passengers were airlifted to the capital Kathmandu for treatment.
The bus, which had left the central tourist city of Pokhara, was heading to Kathmandu when the accident occurred around noon local time.
All those on board were Indian nationals, authorities said.
