NNA – The Five-Member Committee held a meeting at the Pine Palace today, during which ldquo;the importance of electing a president of the republic was stressed due to the threatnbsp;Lebanon faces in wake ofnbsp;the presidential vacuum, the price of which is paid by Lebanon and the Lebanese.rdquo;
The meeting was an opportunity to emphasize the unity of the five-member committee, as its holding was important in light of the prevailing circumstances.
There was alsonbsp;quot;emphasis on keeping pace with the Lebanese people in finding a solution to the presidential vacuum,quot;nbsp;whereby the attendees expressed the international community#39;s view that the status quo cannot persist.
