She was crossing the road and pushing a pram with children when she was hit
The children were taken to hospital with minor injuries, in stable conditions
The woman was in critical condition at the Royal Melbourne Hospital
The road in western Melbourne was closed to traffic in both directions

A woman in her 20s fights for her life after being hit by a car while pushing a pram along a main road with two children.
She was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital and remains in critical condition after the horrific collision in the west of the city on Thursday.
The two children were taken to the Royal Children’s Hospital with minor injuries and are in stable condition after the car accident.
The woman remained in critical condition after the horror smash on Friday (pictured)
The driver of the car stopped at the corner of Ballarat Road and Duke Street in Melbourne’s west Braybrook and assisted police.
The driver has been released pending further investigation, the police investigation is still ongoing.
Ballaratweg was closed to traffic in both directions after the collision.
