Kyle Sandilands has denied any bad blood between him and Abbie Chatfield after she criticized him in an interview earlier this week.
Chatfield, who hosts the national nighttime show for the Hit Network, told: The Daily Telegraph she finds it “baffling” Sandilands still has advertisers and has not been “reprimanded” for his controversial comments.
“I don’t know why he doesn’t at least get a reprimand. I don’t know why advertisers are still aligned,” said the former Bachelor star.

“It’s as baffling to me as it is to everyone else,” she added. ‘I don’t know how he can go on. What he said at the Paralympics was horrible, and then he said one of the night hosts probably had monkey pox.”
Chatfield later clarified things on Instagram, saying it was just a throwaway comment at the end of a long day of interviews.
“I was asked in an interview for my opinion on Kyle Sandilands’ recent comments in competent terms. I think it happened the day of the interview or the day before, so it was recent news,” she said.
Chatfield, who hosts the national nighttime show for the Hit Network, told The Daily Telegraph she finds it “baffling” that Sandilands still has advertisers and has not been “reprimanded” for his controversial comments.
“I reacted to this tone, like, ‘Yeah, look, I think it’s bizarre that he didn’t really get a reprimand.”
“So I answered the question, like you do with interviews. But yeah, there’s a story now that I was “aggressive” about Kyle, which I didn’t.”
Chatfield admitted she was concerned about how Sandilands would react to her interview on The Kyle and Jackie O Show.
“To be honest, I’m not looking forward to what he’s going to say on the radio show tomorrow morning, or what he’s going to do,” she said, adding that she didn’t even want her comments about Sandilands to be the main theme of her interview.

Sandilands wasn’t too impressed with Chatfield’s comments when he finally addressed them on air Tuesday morning, insisting there was no ill will between them.
“We’ve had her on this show. She’s a nice boy,’ he said.
The KIIS FM presenter said the only problem he had with The Daily Telegraph was because he tried to drag Chatfield into his crusade to “cancel” him.
He further praised Chatfield for her skills as a broadcaster and her immense popularity on social media, which eclipses that of The Daily Telegraph.

“Frankly, hardly anyone buys that stuff,” he said of the Sydney newspaper.
“I feel a little sorry for Abbie, because she’s had sleepless nights since reading these articles and she would have thought, ‘S**t, I’m not arguing with Kyle. They cheated on me.’
“This is a boy who already has psychological problems. Why make her life worse? With your own bulls**t newspaper agenda?’
Kyle continued: “These are the same people at the Telegraph who call people in wheelchairs and say, ‘Kyle Sandilands hates the disabled, what do you think?’
“And then they put it in the papers like that’s people’s thoughts. They are lying manipulators. I can’t even believe these people are still employed.’
His co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson also weighed in on the matter, saying the outlet has “a personal agenda” against Sandilands.

Kyle Sandilands criticized a Sydney newspaper for ‘manufacturing’ a story about advertisers threatening to get out of its radio show
Earlier this month, Sandilands unleashed the Daily Telegraph for trying to “ruin” him after “manufacturing” a story about advertisers threatening to pull out of his radio show.
The paper had been promoting an anti-Kyle agenda in recent weeks, claiming there had been widespread outcry the week before over his use of the word “spaz.”
Most listeners of The Kyle and Jackie O Show weren’t offended by his comments — which the publication called a “skillful” slur.
After the newspaper ramped up its assault by posting a story about brands “reviewing their contracts” with KIIS FM, Sandilands aired live.
He said he was sincerely sorry if regular listeners were offended by his words, but he made it clear that the story was a beating intended to “ruin” him, adding that the station’s advertisers spoke out only under pressure from The Daily Telegraph.
“I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings. I like to make people feel nice, relaxed, happy and safe,” he said, before firmly adding: “I’m never going to change.
‘I still don’t change’ [for] the waking world.’
The Daily Telegraph had asked for comment from blue-chip advertisers Bunnings and Vodafone who distanced themselves from Sandilands’ comments made last Thursday during an airborne rant about KIIS FM’s publicity team.
The majority of Kyle and Jackie O’s major advertisers, including McDonald’s, Coles, Telstra, Uber, Jetstar and Chemist Warehouse, have ignored the story.
Sandilands said the journalist who wrote the article had contacted “all customers and… [told] them: “You have to leave because Kyle is a terrible person”, and she made this all up. And they do that at the newspaper.’
‘That’s fine. The things I have about some journalists will be amazing,” he added, before the studio censorship blew out a few seconds of the live broadcast.
The radio host later joked that he welcomes the day he is canceled permanently so he can just “stay at home counting money.”
