Manchester United have reportedly named AC Milan star Rafael Leao as one of their top targets for next summer’s transfer window.
Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag has already identified possible transfer targets for 2023 as he looks to make further changes to his player roster.
Leao was scouted by United earlier this month during his Champions League games against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and the San Siro. Although he missed the net in his side’s 3-0 and 2-0 defeats.

The 23-year-old striker has sparked interest from some of the other top clubs in the Premier League, including champions Manchester City and Chelsea.
Blues manager Graham Potter even greeted the player before the match between his side and Milan in San Siro.
In his pre-match press conference, Potter said, “The player you mentioned is part of that team. You can see his quality and what he brings.’
But Ten Hag is also a fan of Leao, who can play up front, and as he enters the final 18 months of his contract, a £60 million prize has been hailed, according to The sun.

The report suggests Milan has offered the striker a pay rise of up to £110,000 a week on a contract that runs over the next five years, but so far Leao has not indicated he will sign the deal.
Leao’s move to United would cast doubt on the future of some of the club’s current forwards, such as Anthony Martial. The Frenchman has struggled to stay fit this season, despite doing well when he attended.
The Milan attacker could also replace his compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo. The 37-year-old’s contract at Old Trafford expires at the end of this season and he could leave the club as early as January, with Inter Miami reportedly keen to sign a transfer for the experienced striker.
