Kelsey Grammer has been thinking a lot about fatherhood lately.
The Emmy winner, 67, will star alongside his daughter Spencer, 39, in the upcoming Lifetime movie The 12 Days of Christmas Eve.
The father-daughter duo showed up on Friday to talk about the holiday movie on the Today show.

It’s their first time working together, and Spencer thanks her father for leading by example.
“I learned so much from him as an actor. I think a lot of my work ethic comes from him too, so it was really easy to work together.”
She turned to her father and admitted, “Your comedic timing definitely influenced me.”
Duo: The father-daughter duo showed up on Friday to talk about the holiday movie on the Today show.

Explaining his role, the seasoned star said, “There’s a man who becomes a man. You have this titular head of a company who has arguably had a wonderful, successful life, but he’s missing something with his daughter and he’s missing something in himself.”
In addition to Spencer, six others call Kelsey father; Auden, five, Kelsey, seven, and Faith, nine with wife Kayte Walsh. He shares son Jude Gordon, 18, and Mason Olivia, 21, with ex-wife Camille Grammer. He is also the father of actress Greer Grammer, 30, with Barrie Buckner.
The talented actor spoke to People at the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation Gala Thursday, saying that at age 67, his children are a big part of this chapter in his life.

‘I work on many things. I like the idea of being a magnet of sorts. Try this, try that. Some don’t work, some don’t,” he said.
“Kids are a big part of it now,” admits it hasn’t always been easy.
“I’m trying to smooth it out now. He tried to fix them,” he explained of some unspecified “failures” in his relationships with some of his older children.

“They’re beautiful too. I remember them when they were little and I know they were great people.”
“So whatever they’re going through now shouldn’t be affected. They’re still there, the right person is in there.’
The smooth-talking star is looking forward to a reboot of Frasier, which will air on Paramount+. The plot is being kept a secret, but Kelsey did reveal that the first episode had been written and rehearsals begin on February 1.
