Warner Music Italy, Warner Music Japan, WMX UK, and ADA WorldwideSony Music Italy veteran Pico Cibelli is set to begin as president of Warner Music Italy “in the near future,” whereas Kazuhiro Shimada, formerly with Amazon Music Japan, has become COO of Warner Music Japan.
Next, WMG has promoted longtime team member Bob Workman to SVP of international brand partnerships at Warner Music as well as general manager of WMX UK.
Lastly, Warner’s ADA Worldwide has hired MaryLynne Drexler (who was for nearly nine years an exec at The Orchard) as head of business and legal affairs and Bryan Roberts (also an Orchard alumnus) as VP of A&R and label acquisition.
mtheoryCameo Carlson, CEO of manager-services business mtheory, has made multiple executive appointments following Universal Music’s purchase of mtheory’s label division. Five-year mtheory team member Michael Corcoran is now a GM, and nine-year company vet Carmela Frangella is serving as CFO.
Meanwhile, Amy Davidson (who’s been with mtheory since 2016) has been named EVP, Vince Amoroso (eight years with mtheory) is officially head of marketing, and Jonah Berry (five years with mtheory) has been tapped as VP of marketing for the business’s New York and Los Angeles offices. Kaitlyn Moore (also five years with mtheory) is holding the same position at the Nashville office.
Finally, former Sony Music VP of digital strategy Ed Rivadavia has joined as head of digital.
YMU MusicYMU has brought on Mad Ones owner Mike Kadziulis as executive manager and head of radio.
Blue Raincoat/ChrysalisReservoir’s Blue Raincoat/Chrysalis has enlisted former BMG marketing exec James Meadows to serve as SVP of marketing. Additionally, four-year Warner Music employee Rachel Forde has become campaign marketing manager, with Aaron Skates (previously with state51) having signed on as catalog marketing manager.
AIMThe Association of Independent Music has added four members to its board: Alex Kennedy (Believe’s UK MD), ConnectsMusic and WeAreMusic creator Emily Saunders, Sarah Cole (AEI Group’s COO), and Tony Morley (The Leaf Label’s MD).
ASM GlobalASM Global has named former NFL and NBA marketing professional Gary Jacobus president of business development for the US and Latin America, and former Compass Group sales exec Patrick Lynch has become SVP of private events for the US.
Folk AllianceNPREX co-founder Neeta Ragoowansi will begin as executive director of Folk Alliance International on Monday, December 5th.
Pulse Music GroupSeven-year Artist Publishing Group A&R higher-up Tizita Makuria is Pulse’s new VP of A&R.
companyXArrival Artists and ATC Management have jointly launched companyX, which serves as the “brand strategy agency representing both rosters,” and announced 12-year Atlantic Records brand-partnerships exec Mara Frankel as CEO.
Arista NashvilleChris Schuler has stepped down as Arista Nashville’s VP of promotion after starting in the role earlier in 2022.
AudacyAudacy has tapped former WarnerMedia ad-tech executive Seema Kumar to serve as SVP of advertising platforms.
