NNA – Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati met, at the Grand Serail on Wednesday, with Caretaker Defense Minister Maurice Sleem and Army Commander General Joseph Aoun.
Talks reportedly touched on the condition of the military institution and the relation between the Ministry of Defense and the Army Command.
During the meeting, it has been agreed to resolve the difference between the two sides “with a sense of cooperation, in order to preserve the army and its role, as well as the relation between the Defense Minister and the Army Chief.”
