A woman with a flower seed lodged in her cheek captures the moment it emerges

A woman whose marigold seed was lodged painfully in her cheek shared footage of the horrific moment it finally came out of her salivary gland after three weeks.

Alexa Hendricks, 22, from Kentucky, went viral Tik Tok After she described in detail how the particle ended up inside her cheek while she was eating a salad topped with edible flowers at Ruby’s in NYC earlier this month.

The influencer, who has more than 231,000 followers, posted her first ‘crisis’ story on March 5, just days after she ate at the restaurant.

“If you look closely, you can see that there are small flowers with similar stems,” she explained, after showing her a photo of her meal.

So I grabbed the salad, and I was almost done. I had a few bites left. Suddenly I felt this tingling in my cheek inside my mouth.

Hendrix said she used her tongue to feel the inside of her cheek and could feel something sharp coming out. When she went to feel it with her finger, it went deeper into her cheek.

She went to the bathroom, fearing an allergic reaction due to her swollen cheek.

Hendrix included a picture of the inside of her mouth saying, “You can see something in the side of my cheek.”

She noted that eating or opening her mouth wide hurts her, saying that she cannot sleep on that side of her face because of the pain.

After a few days of discomfort, I went to see a dentist who did not feel or see anything during the examination. Bewildered, she referred her to an oral surgeon.

The doctor was also unable to find anything in her cheek and suggested that her cheek could have been swollen from the jab. Prescribe mouthwash and ibuprofen for pain.

I noticed this last night at dinner and then every meal I had today. Maybe it is working its way out?

Hendrix later admitted that she canceled her follow-up appointment with her oral surgeon to go to the beach with her boyfriend, Samuel.

She said the swelling had gone down, and she was beginning to suspect there was anything inside her cheek.

TikTok users kept asking for updates, but she had nothing new to share until March 22, when a marigold seed made its way out of her cheek while she was in the car with her boyfriend.

“This literally just came out of my cheek,” she said, holding the camera stub.

Hendrix explained that she was eating an apple when her jaw suddenly began to hurt.

When I pressed her cheek from the outside, she felt the seed move until it finally came out of her parotid gland.

Oh! I just pulled it off,” she told her boyfriend as he filmed the moment. ‘Oh, my God. That was in my cheek. I told you there was something out there! I knew that, brother.

The video has been viewed more than 4.5 million times, and more than 1,600 people have shared their thoughts in the comments.

Someone wrote: “God the relief must be incredible.”

“I’m so glad she worked her way out!” Another added. I hope you saved it to show the restaurant. You deserve some kind of compensation.

Another person said, “You don’t understand how satisfying this is for us.”

People also had a lot of questions for Hendrix, who defended her dentist and doctor, saying they believed her but couldn’t locate the seed.

She also shared that she had talked to someone from the restaurant about the edible flower because she didn’t want the same thing to happen to someone else.

Hendrix recalled how the employee apologized profusely, but she assured him it was a “freak accident”.

The restaurant paid her medical bills, she added, and she was also offered free goods and brunch with friends the next time she was in town.

“They’re really on top of things and want to set things right, so I was very appreciative of that,” she said.

And their food was amazing, as I said in previous videos, so I’m really excited to be back. I wouldn’t get anything out of the edible flowers if that was an option.
