I'll explain why that's so rare.

The Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card doesn't offer a slew of ongoing benefits (the only perk worth mentioning is its cell phone insurance worth up to $600 per claim). But because the card charges a Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card annual fee, you can freely keep it forever.

Here's why this card sits high on the 0% intro APR credit card food chain.

Wells Fargo Reflect Rewards

This card doesn't earn any rewards for your spending. It also currently does not offer a sign-up bonus. If you're interested in earning cash back, airline miles, or hotel points, you are not the Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card's target audience.

The Reflect is specifically for those who either want to pay down debt or have an imminent and sizable purchase they know they won't be able to pay off in a single billing cycle.

Plenty of cards exist that offer both an interest-free period and rewards for your purchases. However, the intro APR terms aren't quite as generous as the Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card. For example, the Chase Freedom Flex℠ offers Chase Freedom Flex℠ (then a Chase Freedom Flex℠ APR). That's a much shorter 0% interest rate time frame than what's offered by the Wells Fargo Reflect — but the Chase Freedom card also earns up to 5% cash back on purchases.

Regardless of the 0% intro APR card you choose, remember that you'll still need to make the card's minimum payment each billing cycle. You won't accrue interest, but you must still make payments to keep the account in good standing.

Beware of credit cards that charge "deferred interest." Deferred interest will penalize you if the balance hanging on your card during the 0% APR window isn't paid in full by the time the interest-free period ends. You'll be retroactively charged interest for all the months you've carried a balance. It will completely negate the 0% intro APR offer.

The Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card does not charge deferred interest.

Wells Fargo Reflect Card Interest Rate

The Reflect card offers Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card, followed by a Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card APR. You must complete a balance transfer within 120 days of account opening to qualify for the intro 0% APR rate. That's one of the best intro APR offers on the market.

Here's how the interest-free Reflect offer works: Upon opening the card, you'll receive 18 months of zero interest. If you make your minimum payments on time during the initial period, you can qualify for a three-month 0% APR extension (then a Wells Fargo Reflect® Card).

A 21-month intro balance transfer card offer isn't unheard of — you can find similar offers on cards like the Citi® Diamond Preferred® Card (regular APR of Citi® Diamond Preferred® Card) and the Citi Simplicity® Card (regular APR of Citi Simplicity® Card). But to offer the same terms for new purchases is incredible. You'll be hard-pressed to find any card that offers zero interest lasting more than 15 months for purchases. That's what makes this card stand above the others.

Wells Fargo Reflect Credit Score

You'll need at least a good credit score to be eligible for the Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card. Good credit is defined by FICO as any score of 670 and above.

This doesn't mean you'll automatically be denied if your score is lower than this — nor does it mean you'll be automatically approved if your score is within range. Banks do not reveal all the factors they consider when examining your application.

Wells Fargo Reflect Card Benefits and Features

Cell phone protection

The Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card offers up to $600 of automatic cell phone protection when you pay your monthly phone bill with the card. You'll need to only pay a $25 deductible per claim. That's an abnormally low deductible among cards that offer cell phone insurance. Cards like the Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card demand a $100 deductible when you file a claim.

You can submit two claims per 12-month period. Just note that you aren't covered for phones that are lost.

Roadside dispatch

Reflect cardholders have access to a roadside dispatch hotline, which can arrange services like standard towing, tire changing, lockout service, and fuel delivery for a flat fee (currently $69.95). This could be handy if you don't otherwise have roadside assistance through AAA or your personal insurance policy.

Emergency cash disbursement and card replacement

If your Reflect card is lost, damaged, or stolen, you can get an emergency cash advance and have your card replaced within one to three days after contacting Visa Global Customer Care Services at 800-847-2911. All costs and expenses are the responsibility of the cardholder, including cash advance and interest fees.

No annual fee

The Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card incurs a Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card annual fee. That means the card can help to cultivate a good credit score by bolstering the length of your credit history.

It's a good practice to spend on your cards every six months or so to ensure they aren't closed due to inactivity.

Wells Fargo Reflect Annual Fee and Other Costs

Though the Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card doesn't come with an annual fee, there are other fees and charges to watch for. If you carry a balance on the card after the no-interest period, you'll be charged a Wells Fargo Reflect® Card - Regular APR APR.

Other fees apply in certain circumstances, including:

Foreign transaction fee: 3% of each transaction converted to US dollars (for international purchases, use one of the best credit cards with no foreign transaction fees instead)Balance transfer fee: Introductory fee of either $5 or 3% of the amount of each balance transfer, whichever is greater, for 120 days from account opening (after that, up to 5% for each balance transfer, with a minimum of $5)Cash advance fee: Either $10 or 5% of the amount of each advance, whichever is greaterLate payment fee: Up to $40

Wells Fargo Reflect vs Active Cash and Autograph Card

Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card

Wells Fargo Active Cash℠ Card

Wells Fargo Autograph℠ Card

Annual fee

Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card

Wells Fargo Active Cash℠ Card

Wells Fargo Autograph℠ Card

Rewards rate

N/A

2% cash rewards on purchases

3x points on restaurants, travel, gas stations, transit, popular streaming services, and phone plans

1 point per dollar on all other purchases

Welcome bonus

N/A

Wells Fargo Active Cash℠ Card

Wells Fargo Autograph℠ Card

Card benefits

Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card (then a Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card)

Cell phone protection

Emergency cash disbursement and card replacement

Roadside dispatch

Wells Fargo Active Cash℠ Card (then a Wells Fargo Active Cash℠ Card)

Cell phone protection

Visa Signature Concierge

Roadside dispatch

Travel and emergency assistance services

Emergency cash disbursement and card replacement

Access to the Visa Signature Hotel Collection

Wells Fargo Autograph℠ Card (then a Wells Fargo Autograph℠ Card APR)

Cell phone protection

Car rental insurance

Emergency cash disbursement and card replacement

Roadside dispatch

Travel and emergency assistance services

Visa Signature Concierge

Visa Signature Luxury Hotel Collection

No foreign transaction fees

Review

Wells Fargo Active Cash card review

Wells Fargo Autograph credit card review

Wells Fargo Reflect vs Other 0% Intro APR Credit Cards

Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card

Citi® Diamond Preferred® Card

Citi Simplicity® Card

Annual fee

Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card

Citi® Diamond Preferred® Card

Citi Simplicity® Card

Rewards rate

N/A

N/A

N/A

Welcome bonus

N/A

N/A

N/A

Card benefits

Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card (then a Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card)

Cell phone protection

Emergency cash disbursement and card replacement

Roadside dispatch

Citi® Diamond Preferred® Card (then a Citi® Diamond Preferred® Card)

Citi Entertainment benefits (special or early access to live events)

Citi Simplicity® Card (then a Citi Simplicity® Card)

Free FICO score

Review

Citi Diamond Preferred credit card reviewCiti Simplicity card review

Wells Fargo Reflect Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Is the Wells Fargo Reflect credit card a good card?

With a Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card annual fee, you have nothing to lose by opening the Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card. If you’re looking for the best Wells Fargo credit card for balance transfers, the Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card is a great choice. And it offers an extra-long interest-free period on new purchases, too.

The Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card is one of the absolute best balance transfer credit cards if you’re looking for a long intro APR on balance transfers and new purchases. It doesn’t earn rewards, however, so you’ll receive little value from the card after the interest-free period expires (which is followed by a Wells Fargo Reflect® Card APR) unless you utilize its generous cell phone protection.

Wells Fargo Reflect Card Review: Is It the Best Credit Card for You?

Let’s get the worst bit out of the way first: The Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card earns no rewards for spending.

While competing 0% intro APR cards like the Citi® Double Cash Card (Citi® Double Cash Card – Intro APR, then a Citi® Double Cash Card APR), Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card (Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card – Intro APR, then a Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card APR), and Discover it® Cash Back (Discover it® Cash Back – Intro APR, then a Discover it® Cash Back APR) offer a healthy return each time they’re swiped, the Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card atones for its rewards deficiency by offering one of the best introductory APR offers we’ve seen: Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card, followed by a Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card APR. I’ll explain why that’s so rare.

The Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card doesn’t offer a slew of ongoing benefits (the only perk worth mentioning is its cell phone insurance worth up to $600 per claim). But because the card charges a Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card annual fee, you can freely keep it forever.

Here’s why this card sits high on the 0% intro APR credit card food chain.

Wells Fargo Reflect Rewards

This card doesn’t earn any rewards for your spending. It also currently does not offer a sign-up bonus. If you’re interested in earning cash back, airline miles, or hotel points, you are not the Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card’s target audience.

The Reflect is specifically for those who either want to pay down debt or have an imminent and sizable purchase they know they won’t be able to pay off in a single billing cycle.

Plenty of cards exist that offer both an interest-free period and rewards for your purchases. However, the intro APR terms aren’t quite as generous as the Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card. For example, the Chase Freedom Flex℠ offers Chase Freedom Flex℠ (then a Chase Freedom Flex℠ APR). That’s a much shorter 0% interest rate time frame than what’s offered by the Wells Fargo Reflect — but the Chase Freedom card also earns up to 5% cash back on purchases.

Regardless of the 0% intro APR card you choose, remember that you’ll still need to make the card’s minimum payment each billing cycle. You won’t accrue interest, but you must still make payments to keep the account in good standing.

Beware of credit cards that charge “deferred interest.” Deferred interest will penalize you if the balance hanging on your card during the 0% APR window isn’t paid in full by the time the interest-free period ends. You’ll be retroactively charged interest for all the months you’ve carried a balance.

That’s one of the best intro APR offers on the market.

Here’s how the interest-free Reflect offer works: Upon opening the card, you’ll receive 18 months of zero interest. If you make your minimum payments on time during the initial period, you can qualify for a three-month 0% APR extension (then a Wells Fargo Reflect® Card).

A 21-month intro balance transfer card offer isn’t unheard of — you can find similar offers on cards like the Citi® Diamond Preferred® Card (regular APR of Citi® Diamond Preferred® Card) and the Citi Simplicity® Card (regular APR of Citi Simplicity® Card). But to offer the same terms for new purchases is incredible. You’ll be hard-pressed to find any card that offers zero interest lasting more than 15 months for purchases. That’s what makes this card stand above the others.

Wells Fargo Reflect Credit Score

You’ll need at least a good credit score to be eligible for the Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card. Good credit is defined by FICO as any score of 670 and above.

This doesn’t mean you’ll automatically be denied if your score is lower than this — nor does it mean you’ll be automatically approved if your score is within range.

You’ll need to only pay a $25 deductible per claim. That’s an abnormally low deductible among cards that offer cell phone insurance. Cards like the Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card demand a $100 deductible when you file a claim.

You can submit two claims per 12-month period. Just note that you aren’t covered for phones that are lost.

Roadside dispatch

Reflect cardholders have access to a roadside dispatch hotline, which can arrange services like standard towing, tire changing, lockout service, and fuel delivery for a flat fee (currently $69.95). This could be handy if you don’t otherwise have roadside assistance through AAA or your personal insurance policy.

It’s a good practice to spend on your cards every six months or so to ensure they aren’t closed due to inactivity.

Wells Fargo Reflect Annual Fee and Other Costs

Though the Wells Fargo Reflect℠ Card doesn’t come with an annual fee, there are other fees and charges to watch for. If you carry a balance on the card after the no-interest period, you’ll be charged a Wells Fargo Reflect® Card – Regular APR APR.
