DI Colette Cunningham set out to uncover the truth behind her daughter Stacey Lockley’s suspected suicide in the “emotional” series finale of Redemption.
Fans praised the ITV drama, claiming they ‘loved every minute of it’ as it came to a close on Friday night’s episode.
The Liverpool policewoman, played by Paula Malcomson, has unearthed the mystery surrounding her estranged daughter’s death.
Previous episodes followed Colette as she discovered that Stacey, who had left home at 17 and had been out of touch for 20 years, was found dead in a Dublin park next to a bag full of drugs.
The DI then transferred to the local Garda to look after her grandchildren and get to the bottom of Stacey’s death, as she does not believe it was a suicide.
