Samsung’s next Unpacked event is scheduled for July 26 at 7 a.m. ET, at which time the electronics giant is expected to announce new wireless products. Before we know what’s coming down the pipe (the teaser quips about Flips and Folds), Samsung is hooking potential buyers up with a chance to earn $50 in Samsung Credit off the new devices just for registering your interest in pre-ordering. No card details are required and you have no obligation to follow through and buy.
The fine print suggests you’ll be able to apply the credit immediately to the new device you’re buying, and you can choose to use it toward other purchases. You can claim this offer without any payment information, but you’ll need to pre-reserve at Samsung’s website by inputting your name, email address, and an optional phone number (which you can do through July 25).
Save $50 if you preorder the Z Fold 5 or Flip 5
You’ll only get the $50 credit if you end up pre-ordering any of the upcoming devices, so this act is completely noncommittal. If you decide you’re not interested in an eventual purchase, you can simply step away with an unscathed wallet.
Reserve at Samsung for a $50 credit toward your purchase
The event teaser makes it clear we’ll at least get some new smartphones, and we’re all but completely certain they’re of the foldable variety. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 have jammed the rumor mill of late with murmurings of key hardware refinements, but we could also get a new Galaxy Watch (the current model is one of the best smartwatches Android users can buy), a new Galaxy Tab, and maybe even some refreshed Galaxy Buds.

Samsung will have 0% APR financing options courtesy of Affirm available at checkout, and you’ll have a choice between shipping and in-store pickup.
In addition to the credit, Samsung will offer you trade-in opportunities before checkout. You can send in your old device and apply the trade credit toward the new purchase. The value of that trade-in will vary based on the specific device you’re forfeiting and its condition. As a general rule of thumb, the newer and more pristine it is, the more money you’ll get.
