<p>Late last month, the billionaire responded to a tweet from Y Combinator CEO Garry Tan saying he had donated $50,000 to a PAC dedicated to defeating progressive <a href="https://www.thedailybeast.com/keyword/san-francisco">San Francisco</a> Supervisor Dean Preston.</p>
<p>“I will double that,” Musk <a href="https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1705189205108748557">wrote</a>.</p>
