Al Roker was extra grateful this Thanksgiving, revealing that his new granddaughter, Sky Clara, celebrated her first Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade while he was performing his Today hosting duties.
The 69-year-old weatherman shared an adorable photo on Instagram, where he showed off his family in full force at the annual event.
Roker was pictured in the center of the group next to his wife, ABC News 20/20 co-host Deborah Roberts, and their son Nicholas, on her left.
His eldest daughter, Courtney, lay on the other side of Roker, while her husband, Wesley Laga, had their daughter, Sky, strapped to his chest in a baby carrier.

Smoker’s wife Deborah Roberts also posted a number of photos and videos to Instagram in a carousel, where she excitedly showed off some happy snaps from the day.
Roker’s other daughter Leila, 25, was missing from the photos.

This year was particularly meaningful, as the veteran broadcaster missed last year’s Macy’s parade for the first time since 1995 while recovering from blood clots in his legs and lungs.
“Look, I missed last year,” Roker acknowledged during this year’s NBC broadcast.
“I’m so grateful that I can be anywhere this year, but especially here.”
Roberts also posted a number of photos and videos in a carousel on Instagram, where she excitedly showed off some happy snaps from the day.
‘I love a parade. Especially the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade when Al Roker is back in place,” she wrote. “Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.”

Roker became a grandparent for the first time on July 3 after his daughter Courtney, whom he shares with ex-wife Alice Bell, gave birth to her first child.
The Today weather presenter spent a weekend babysitting little Sky in October, which brought back fond memories of what it was like to be a new parent.
‘Good to know that I can still do this. Like cycling. But I can give the bike back to the owners,” he joked on Instagram at the time.
Roker also reflected on his hospitalization last year in an interview with Today, saying he was feeling “pretty good” almost a year later.
“I feel like I’m 100 percent again,” he said.
Smoker suffered a serious health crisis last year.
His problems started last November when he was hospitalized because of blood clots — likely due to a previous COVID-19 infection — that had moved from his legs to his lungs.
Doctors also discovered he had internal bleeding, but they had difficulty determining the cause.
Roker announced on Instagram that he was being treated for blood clots to explain his absence from the broadcast, but he did not share the extent of his health problems.
He spent nearly two weeks in the hospital and was considered stable enough to go home for Thanksgiving that year, as long as he reported to his medical team.
