If you’ve not heard of Bilt Rewards, it offers a unique angle compared to other rewards currencies. You can earn points for paying rent — without incurring prohibitive service charges. Because rent is perhaps the biggest expense of the month for many, Bilt Rewards has become extremely popular.
Bilt Rewards is proving itself to be perhaps the most versatile and useful rewards currency in the travel world. A chink in its armor, however, has been the comparatively limited way you can earn them.
Bilt has taken steps to remedy this by announcing “Rent Day” — an enhancement to the Bilt Mastercard® which gives you the chance to earn up to 10,000 bonus points each month. Also in the works are also some gamified promotions that give you fun ways to periodically earn Bilt Rewards.
Additionally, Bilt is debuting offers that can save you tons of money on things like travel and spinning classes. Here’s what you need to know.
We’re focused here on the rewards and perks that come with each card. These cards won’t be worth it if you’re paying interest or late fees. When using a credit card, it’s important to pay your balance in full each month, make payments on time, and only spend what you can afford to pay.
Bilt Rewards ‘Rent Day’ gives members a reason to anticipate the first day of the month
Double points earnings
If you’ve got the Bilt Mastercard®, you’ll get a 24-hour period each month to earn double the usual number of points on your non-rent spending. On the first day of each month, Bilt will award the following earning rates:
6 points per dollar on dining (normally 3 points per dollar)4 points per dollar on travel (normally 2 points per dollar)2 points per dollar on all other spending (normally 1 point per dollar)
You can earn a maximum of 10,000 bonus points per Rent Day. In other words, you could theoretically spend the following before your purchases no longer earn double points:
$1,666 on dining$2,500 on travel$5,000 on all other spending
Unfortunately, you’ll still only earn 1 point per dollar for rent.

Promotions with partner brands
Bilt is busy inking deals with its partners to make Rent Day more exciting. You can expect access to new experiences and offers each month.
Currently, Bilt is offering a free SoulCycle class for your friend on the first of each month dubbed “Rent Day, Ride Together.” More than 50 SoulCycle locations around the country will let Bilt members book a class for themselves and receive a free bike for a friend. You’ll also get “Bilt and SoulCycle branded swag and giveaways.” You can book through Soul-Cycle.com, the SoulCycle app, or via the Bilt Rewards app. Booking opens on Mondays at 12 p.m. ET.

Virgin Voyages promotion: 2-for-1 cruise fares
Between September 26 and October 31, 2022, at 11:59 p.m Pacific Time, Bilt Rewards members can reserve qualifying Virgin Voyages cruises at 50% off. Virgin Voyages offers adult-only trips around the Caribbean, Europe, South Pacific, and even transatlantic routes.

To use this offer, link your Bilt account and Virgin Red account (you’ll get 500 points for your trouble). You’ll get an access code in the Bilt app and through email which you can use to get this discount on VirginVoyages.com.
Because Virgin Voyages is a travel purchase, the Bilt Mastercard will earn 2 points per dollar — or 4 points per dollar if you reserve your cruise during Rent Day.
More ways to earn Bilt Rewards
Bilt has a TikTok channel called Point Quest. On October 1, 2022, you’ll be able to play a Bilt Point Quest virtual trivia game through the Bilt Rewards app. By correctly answering questions, you can earn up to 350 Bilt points.
Bottom line
Bilt Rewards is giving members an easier path to amassing Bilt points. Rent Day doubles your earnings with the Bilt Mastercard® (capped at 10,000 points per Rent Day). Bilt also offers a buy-one-get-one SoulCycle class which you can reserve on Rent Day.
