We’re seeing all-time low prices on TVs during Amazon’s Prime Early Access Sale.
Best Buy
Amazon’s October Prime Day event — officially called the Prime Early Access Sale — is in full swing and is packed with discounts on products across all categories, including big savings on TVs.
Displays from brands like Sony, LG, Samsung, and Hisense are down to some of their lowest prices of the year, including entry-level and high-end models. Amazon’s own Fire TV lineup is also on sale, with discounts on the 4-Series.
To help you snag a new TV for a low price, we rounded up all of the best Prime Early Access TV deals below. Check back often, as we’ll be updating this page with more discounts as they go live.
Sony
This 4K TV offers impressive picture accuracy, the latest features for gaming consoles like the PlayStation 5, and comes with Android TV built-in. The $600 discount for the Prime Early Access Sale is one of the best prices we’ve seen.
Amazon
The Fire TV Omni Series is the best of Amazon’s first two smart TVs released in 2021. It comes with built-in Alexa voice controls without the need for a remote, and supports HDR and Dolby Vision color formats for more accurate picture quality. While the Omni series isn’t one of our top-rated TVs, the $130 Prime Day discount offers great value if you’re looking for an affordable smart TV in a larger size.
Amazon
This Insignia 4K display is a standard entry-level smart TV. It’s no frills when it comes to picture quality, but it features the Fire TV OS built-in for easy access to popular streaming apps. This isn’t a set you’ll want to build a home theater around, but it gets the job done for casual viewing, especially in a bedroom. This $250 deal price is just $10 more than the all-time low of $240 we saw over the summer.
Amazon
If you’re in the market for a larger entry-level smart TV, the 55-inch 4-Series is a decent option when it’s on sale. The TV’s image performance is about as basic as it gets, but the Fire TV OS offers access to all the major streaming platforms. If you just want a basic TV for casual viewing, this is a solid buy when the 55-inch model is on sale for under $400.
Amazon
The U7G is easily one of the best midrange 65-inch TVs you can buy. It delivers wide colors and local dimming for gorgeous high dynamic range picture, and it even supports HDMI 2.1 for next-gen gaming features like variable refresh rate. It can’t get quite as bright as the step-up U8G model, but it delivers excellent performance for the money. The U7G is a good buy even when it’s not on sale, but this $700 deal price makes it an even better value.
LG
LG’s G2 OLED is one of the best TVs you can buy right now, period. The display uses an Evo panel to produce higher brightness than a typical OLED, and the results are spectacular. When it comes to image performance, it really doesn’t get much better than this. $1,700 is an all-time low deal price for this model.
Amazon
Though this is last year’s model, the C1 OLED remains an excellent TV, especially when it’s on sale. The 2022 C2 and G2 models do offer some improvements in brightness, but for a deal price of $1,500, you’d be hard pressed to find a better 65-inch TV for the money.
Amazon
The 48-inch A1 was LG’s entry-level OLED model for 2021, and it’s still an excellent option for buyers who want the picture performance benefits of an OLED in a smaller screen size. The A1 is missing gaming-centric features, like a 120Hz refresh rate and HDMI 2.1 ports, that are found on LG’s more expensive OLEDs, but it delivers gorgeous contrast and colors. This $647 deal price is the lowest we’ve ever seen for this model.
Samsung
Samsung’s first 4K OLED TV is also one of the very first OLED displays to feature quantum dots. This technology allows the TV to produce a slightly brighter and wider range of colors than a traditional OLED. The results are stunning in person, giving LG’s G2 tough competition when it comes to the best high-end TV you can buy. It’s on sale now for $2,000, which matches its all-time low.
Amazon
Samsung’s Frame TV is a favorite among buyers who want a display that can double as a subtle design piece in their living room. As its name implies, the TV is built to look like a frame hanging on your wall. A special Art Mode lets you show off paintings and other images on the TV when it’s off. This $1,600 deal price is a new all-time low for the 2022 65-inch model.
Amazon
This 75-inch Samsung Neo QLED is an excellent high-end alternative for buyers who don’t want an OLED TV. The QN90B is brighter than an OLED and although it can’t deliver pixel-perfect contrast, it comes pretty close. This is an all-time low price for the 75-inch screen size.
Amazon
Anyone who is in the market for an extra-large TV should seriously consider this deal. The A80J was our favorite high-end TV last year, and the 77-inch model is down to $2,298 for Amazon’s Prime Early Access Sale. While it isn’t the lowest, it is still one of the best prices we’ve ever seen for an OLED of this size.
What is the Amazon Prime Early Access Sale?
Amazon’s Prime Early Access Sale is a new shopping event aimed to give Prime members exclusive “early” access to holiday deals, hence the name. It’s basically a second Prime Day. The members-only deals event began on October 11 and runs through Wednesday, October 12.
Do I need to be a Prime member to access the deals?
Similar to Prime Day, the Amazon Prime Early Access Sale is exclusive to Prime members. Amazon Prime costs $15 a month or $139 per year; a 30-day trial is available to new members.
Is the Prime Early Access Sale the best time to buy a new TV?
Deal events like Prime Early Access are generally the best times of year to purchase a new TV. Black Friday and Cyber Monday traditionally offer the biggest discounts, but we’re seeing some incredible all-time low prices on several TVs for Prime Early Access, with as much as $1,500 off select models.
Basically, if you see a display you want on sale right now for a good price, we recommend jumping on it. But if you miss any big deals, it’s likely that similar discounts will pop up again on Black Friday.
How much should I spend on a TV?
TVs vary wildly in price depending on the performance level and size you choose.
Generally speaking, if you’re in the market for an entry-level TV for casual viewing you should spend no more than $500. Though they lack advanced picture features, you can find budget-friendly 4K smart TVs as big as 65 inches for under $500, and smaller models for as little as $100.
If you’re in the market for a mid-range TV, however, with more advanced contrast and color features, you should aim to spend between $550 and $1,200. There are several 55- and 65-inch displays in this price range from brands like TCL, Vizio, and Hisense that deliver solid high dynamic range (HDR) performance with local dimming and quantum dots.
On the high-end, buyers who want the best image performance and fanciest design features should expect to pay between $1,500 and $2,500 for a 65-inch display. In this price range, you can find flagship sets from brands like Sony, LG, and Samsung, including models with OLED panels for pixel-level contrast and wide viewing angles.
