Cristiano Ronaldo has arrived at Manchester United training just hours after storming through the tunnel for the full-time whistle in his side’s 2-0 win against Tottenham on Wednesday.
Ronaldo refused to give much away to reporters when he first drove into Carrington after his actions the previous night.
The Portuguese forward was somewhat surprisingly left out of Erik ten Hag’s squad for the game at Old Trafford after the start of United’s previous two games, as the Red Devils went with a front three of Antony, Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford.

Ten Hag’s selection paid off, as United took a comprehensive victory through goals from Fred and Bruno Fernandes.
Ronaldo was in no mood to celebrate the win, however, and when it became clear that he would be an unused replacement, he left the bench and walked into the tunnel as the game approached stoppage time.
Ten Hag was asked about Ronaldo’s behavior after the game and promised to settle the matter on Thursday.
‘I saw him, but I didn’t speak to him. I’ll work on that tomorrow, not today. We celebrate this victory,” he told reporters.
‘I’m not paying attention today. I’ll deal with it tomorrow. I want to keep the focus on the team and a great performance from all 11 players and the substitutes. It was a team performance.’

It is not the first time that Ronaldo’s actions have been questioned this season.
The 37-year-old left Old Trafford early in an exhibition game against Rayo Vallecano in July, having been substituted at half time.
He also failed to hide his frustration when he was substituted in the second half of United’s goalless draw against Newcastle on Sunday.
Ten Hag emphasized afterwards that he had no problem with Ronaldo’s angry reaction to coming out in that game.
“No player is happy when he comes out, especially not Ronaldo, I understand that. As long as it goes in a calm, normal way, that’s no problem,” he said.
“Of course he’s convinced that he should stay and score a goal, that’s why he’s so good.”

Ronaldo has only started two league games this season after telling the club he wanted to leave in the summer, and his frustration seems to be mounting at his lack of first-team opportunities in recent months.
He comfortably finished as United’s top scorer last season with 24 goals in all competitions, but was largely overlooked this time around.
It remains to be seen what penalty, if any, Ten Hag will hand out, especially with such a quick turnaround between games, as United return to action at Chelsea on Saturday.
