NNA – US President Joe Biden announced that the US military carried out an operation to evacuate US government employees from the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, adding that Washington had temporarily suspended operations at its embassy in light of the continuing fighting in Sudan.
Biden added in a statement that he receives reports on a regular basis from his team about their ongoing work to help the Americans in Sudan to the fullest extent possible and that he is working with allies and partners on this matter, according to “Reuters” news agency.
